After five months without response from the Minister of Finance, BCLDB workers rallied outside the BCLDB's head office to call for their employer's support. BCLDB CEO Blain Lawson did not appear but media did.

Outside select BCLDB stores from May to September 2021, BCLDB workers provided information to the public about their fight for essential pay for their government-deemed essential work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

BCLDB workers continued the fight for essential pay for essential work by safely rallying outside of Finance Minster Selina Robinson's Victoria and Coquitlam offices on April 14, 2021.
